Objectives
- To develop a scholarly approach to the management of patients with kidney disease, hypertension and associated diseases.
- To develop a broad experience and clinical skills in the evaluation and management of a variety of kidney diseases in various settings.
- To develop knowledge, values and attitudes about ethical issues, cost containment and psychological factors as they pertain to patients with kidney disease and associated diseases and conditions.
- To achieve a deep understanding of the biological sciences that is essential for the scientific management of patients with kidney disease and hypertension.
- To develop the skills to critically assess the medical literature in the field.
- To guide the resident in the performance of a clinical research project in the field of nephrology or hypertension.
