Where will the race start and finish?

The race will start and finish at McDougle Middle School. The school is located at 900 Old Fayetteville Rd in Carrboro, NC.

Tell me about the Kids Kare 1/2 mile event

This is a new feature this year open to children ages 5-11. The event will begin at 9:15 AM on the track. The entire 1/2 mile course is contained within school grounds. All participants will receive finisher ribbons as well as short sleeve t-shirts with the Kids Kare logo (guaranteed thru March 10 registration. We will make every effort to provide t-shirts for registrants after March 10)

When and how can I register?

Registration is open on-line now until March 17. If you wish to mail in your registration form, make sure it is postmarked by March 15. Registering early costs $25 for the 5K and $12 for the Kids Kare 1/2 mile.

After the 17th, you can register at Fleet Feet in Carrboro on March 19 from 12:00-7:00 PM or on race day at the McDougle School Gym from 7:15 AM-8:15 AM. Cost for registration is $30 for the 5K and $15 for the Kids Kare 1/2 mile.

When can I pick up my packet?

Early packet pick up is available for runners and walkers at Fleet Feet Carrboro from 12:00-7:00PM on Friday, March 19.

Participants may drop off registration forms and charitable donations and pick up t-shirts and race packets at this time.

What is the course like?

The Kidney Kare 5k Run/Walk will wind its way through the streets of Carrboro. Course is flat to rolling. View the course on-line here.

Kids Kare will start on the track. The entire course is contained within the school grounds.
