The American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT) was founded in 1900, and consists of over 1,900 professionals whose primary interest is to promote and advance the science of human pharmacology and therapeutics. The Society is the largest scientific and professional organization serving the Discipline of Clinical Pharmacology. ASCPT fosters the recognition of clinical pharmacology as a discipline at the forefront of the discovery, development, regulation and use of safe and effective medicines.
