Specialty Areas: Kidney transplant, management of acute and chronic kidney disease, end stage renal disease and renal replacement therapies.


Chronology: BA, Austin College 1993; MD, University of Texas Medical Branch 1999; Internship, UNC 1999-2000; Residency, UNC 2000-2002; Nephrology Fellowship, UNC 2002-2004; Visiting Clinical Professor, UNC 2006; Transplant Fellowhip, UNC 2006-2007; Clinical Assistant Professor, UNC 2007-present.

Dr. True's interests and research are immune monitoring in kidney transplant, glomerular disease in transplant, and polyoma virus nephropathy.  She is involved in the management of acute and chronic kidney disease patients at the University of North Carolina Hospitals and the Carolina Dialysis Center in Sanford, NC.
