Dr. Hladik’s work centers on managing patients with acute and chronic kidney disease and educating future medical professionals. Currently, he is medical director of both the Acute Dialysis Program at UNC Hospitals, and the Carrboro location of Carolina Dialysis. Hladik’s clinical efforts focus on optimizing clinical outcomes for patients with renal failure through quality improvement initiatives in the inpatient and outpatient arenas. He has a strong interest in teaching complex electrolyte disorders and syndromes of acute and chronic kidney disease to medical students and residents. His teaching excellence has been formally recognized by medical students and graduate medical trainees.
